Affiniscape maintains a staff of 50 employees, and a client base of more than 1,000 association clients in the U.S., Canada and Australia. We are centrally located in Austin near the 360 bridge.

Job Description:

The Associate Trainer is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training on Affiniscape’s Members24x7 and Members360 products. This includes phone-based, on-site, and video training.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct training calls, on-site training and weekly webinars with clients
• Deliver internal training for Affiniscape staff as needed
• Contribute to and develop a wide variety of learning materials such as workbooks, manuals, user guides, case studies, and demonstrations
• Work with other members of the Training Department to create and update documentation
• Proactively solve problems, challenge the status quo, and generate new ideas
• Handle difficult situations in a professional manner
• Respond to inquiries, analyze problems, research solutions and provide best practice recommendations to clients
• Serve a consultative role to understand customer needs and provide recommendations on how Affiniscape solutions can best meet those needs
• Provide technical support on an as-needed basis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of training experience
• Comfortable and engaging when presenting in front of a physical audience as well as in front of a virtual audience via distance education live platforms
• Comprehensive knowledge of current adult instructional theories and principles applicable to instructor-led and online instruction
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products (primarily Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and the use of the Internet
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to listen and empathize with the client’s situation
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Must be a self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented environment
• Proven propensity to learn new technologies quickly
• Documentation experience a plus
• Desired technical and software skills include: HTML and web design (CSS and Javascript a plus); Webinar software (GoToMeeting, WebEx, etc.); Documentation software (RoboHelp); Video training software (Captivate); database, member management, or CRM software.
